Happy Friday! What a tough week on the East Coast and the aftermath of hurricane Sandy continues. I myself have been slowly returning to a normal routine.
On to the good news! I was online one evening searching for a gift when I stumbled upon Etsy; an online shopping site where you can buy unique handmade and vintage items directly from independent sellers around the world. Etsy has a range of products to choose from: Home & Living, Jewelry, Men’s, Women’s and Kids fashions and accessories,Vintage…I did a simple search on the Etsy site and found this amazing handmade bracelet, I cannot wait until it arrives! *Its a surprise gift so I cannot post a picture, sorry.
The Pros To Shopping Etsy:
The Ability to purchase unique handmade and vintage items
Supports an Independent Designer/Seller
Reasonable prices
The Cons to Shopping Etsy:
Some Sellers ship internationally (Increased shipping cost & takes longer to receive)
Inability to try on/touch and see the item (s) before purchasing
What you see is not always what you get
Overall, Etsy appears to be a great website if you are looking for uniquely handmade or vintage items all in one place. Here are a few other items I found that I absolutely love!
