I recently attended my first Independent Fashion Bloggers conference in New York City. If I could sum up my experience in one word it would be phenomenal!  I was nothing but amazed from the moment I stepped foot into the conference until the moment I left with a fashion filled swag bag. I met some amazing Fashion Bloggers, Designers, Stylists…the list of incredible talent continues. Happy Friday! I am currently traveling on my way home from the Independent Fashion Bloggers Conference in New York City! I cannot wait to share my experience with you all in a future post! In the meantime check out the amazing schedule of events I attended.

I hope everyone had a great weekend! I had a fashion filled weekend! First, I attended a clothing Swap coordinated by Dewdrop DC at this amazing rooftop lounge in Washington, DC. The weather was absolutely gorgeous! I wore this color block jersey dress that I recently got at Nordstrom Rack; I  paired it with DKNY beige Mary Jane’s (One of the perks of interning at DKNY, Free shoes!) a turquoise  handbag with this cute bow ( that I’ve had forever) and a belt that I picked up at a previous swap. TGIF! On Monday I was invited to a private event to check out the new Nordstrom Rack store near the popular Tyson’s Corner Mall in Vienna, Virginia. It was truly an evening of pure shopping VIP! Upon entering, we received an adorable goodie bag, refreshments including special cocktails and champagne. There was a DJ spinning awesome beats as invited guests, media and fellow fashion bloggers previewed and shopped the new store. On September 15th, I’ll  be at this fashion event  in Washington, DC, Get Lucky Swap & Shop. The event will take place at a modern rooftop lounge in the trendy Chinatown neighborhood of DC.  Its coordinated by Dewdrop DC, which hosts fashion events and clothing swaps, where local Fashionistas unite to swap clothes and promote sustainable living through fashion. A portion of the proceeds from this event will go to Good Girls DC and left over clothing will be donated to Martha’s Outfitters.

How To Purchase Tickets:

You can purchase at www.dewdrop.eventbrite.com. Online tickets are $10 with seven swap items or $15 at the door with seven swap items. Limited tickets to the VIP Lucky Charm Cocktail Hour are $15 with seven items and can only be purchased online.

• A VIP Lucky Charm Cocktail Hour where Fashionistas will enjoy drinks and appetizers while watching a fall styling presentation by fashion expert, founder of Blueprint for Style and Lucky Magazine Alpha Shopper, Monica Barnett.
