Its Friday…Give me Five! I remember learning how to give five as a child. Remember how much fun it
was is to not only give five but receive five? I came across some cool ideas perfect for Memorial Day barbecues. Open your hand (either one is fine) and here’s five!
Peekaboo Bread from one of my favorite blogs A Beautiful Mess. When I saw this it reminded me of the stars on the American flag.
A Grilled Hamburger There’s nothing like a juicy grilled hamburger. I found this while browsing for barbecue recipes on Pintrest via delish.com. Now I’m hungry!
Watermelon Ice Pops I saw these on Eat Yourself Skinny. Anything with watermelon has to be good. Its a perfect summer treat for the kiddies or for a grown ups barbecue.
Fruit Striped Ice Cubes Fruit flavored ice cubes? Yummy! Stripes are a big trend this summer, its like fashion meets food. Get the recipe on one of my new favorite blogs Oh Joy.
Chocolate Chip Confetti Cookies I saw these on Bakerella wow…chocolate chip cookies with confetti sprinkles, need I say more?
Have a nice and safe holiday!

Raise your hand if you love summer? My hand is not only down because I am writing this post (hahah that was a joke) but because summer is not one of my favorite seasons. I know, stop hating on summer. I do enjoy certain things about summer, a weekend at the beach, an evening BBQ and sipping a nice cocktail in the air conditioned comfort of my living room.
If you’re like me you own a ton of summer apparel and shoes that you barely wear. Then there are what I call essentials, those items you just cannot go through summer without. My summer activities are usually spontaneous and I am always on the go. Above are essentials that I mix and match all summer long to create simple, cute and comfortable outfits. What’s on your summer essentials list?
